Application of Quartz Ceramics in Aerospace Field
      
            
      With the continuous development of technology in our country,the development of quartz ceramics has also been relatively rapid,due to its advantages such as poor thermal conductivity,small expansion coefficient,high temperature resistance,good thermal stability,and low cost.It has been successfully applied to metallurgy,building materials,chemical industry,scientific research and other sectors.In addition to these industries,it is also involved in China's aerospace field.
Aerospace engineering experts say that quartz ceramic products are widely used in the aerospace field,mainly in the nozzle,head,and front chamber of rocket engines,and are one of the widely used quartz ceramic antenna cover materials at home and abroad.China has gradually caught up with the world level in the development of quartz ceramic antenna covers,and has been applied in the atomic energy industry in multiple models.As a matrix(Si02-U02)system and radiation material in nuclear fuel,it is also widely used as an optical reflector in radio telescopes and a high-quality reflector for infrared radiation.
